Welcome to Walsall Deaf People's Centre (WDPC)
Walsall Deaf People's Centre promotes and supports the rights of Deaf people to fair and equal treatment in all aspects of their lives
We provide social and sporting activities, senior citizens and family groups, advice and guidance, communication support, mentoring and other personal assistance. We participate in local forums in co-operation with other disability organisations. We fund our activities through he teaching of innovative British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness programmes as a member of Walsall Community College.

Walsall Deaf people's Centre has provided social, recreational, educational and sporting activities for the Deaf community for over 60 years. For a more in-depth look into their history.

WDPC delivers British Sign Language courses at all learning levels. The programmes provide learners with direct access to the rich culture of the Deaf community.

The WDPC Social Club & Licensed Bar is open six evenings per week hosting and organising many various social events. Room hire facilities are also available.

WDPC offers Deaf and hard-of-hearing people support on welfare issues concerning health, housing, employment or educational matters.

WDPC offers Deaf awareness programmes designed to learn how to meet requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act by developing 'best practice' skills when dealing with deaf people within the community.
